前回の続き。

福岡県宗像市の離島、大島にある日本一行きにくいお店「OMISEYA SUN」へ。
Arrived at OMISEYA SUN, the most difficult-to-reach shop in Japan, located on Oshima, a remote island in Munakata City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

Clothing areaクウ・リキさんとは行きのバスも船も一緒でした。この日は大島に宿泊して翌日は鹿児島のミニ四駆大会の取材だそうです。
I was on the same bus and boat with Ku-Riki and his staff. On this day, they stayed in Oshima and the next day they were going to cover a Mini 4WD tournament in Kagoshima.

やまざきさんのお知り合いのデザイナーによるアクセサリーやグッズの取り扱い。

二階には豪華サーキットも常設。
A luxury circuit is also set on the second floor.これからどんどん拡張していくそうです。子供達が自分のマシンがかっとぶ姿を見て喜ぶのはストレートだ！ということでストレートセクションを多めにする予定とのこと。
It seems that the total length of this circuit will continue to expand in the future. It’s obvious that children will be happy to see their Mini 4WD cars do well! That’s why they plan to have more straight sections.

たまたま居合わせたレーサーとマシンを並べて記念撮影。
I took a photo with the racer who happened to be there and lined up Mini 4WD cars.

屋上では店舗で貸し出しをしているRC走行も可能。
On the rooftop, you can also drive RC cars that are rented from the shop.雑誌や新聞の取材を受けるやまざきさん。私もインタビューを受けました。
Mr. Yamazaki is interviewed by magazines and newspapers. I was also interviewed.

いっぱい買い物しちゃったぜ！

九州は福岡、しかもその離島でタミヤ製品のみならずBLOCKHEAD MOTORSを始め人気ブランド製品が一堂に会する驚きのセレクトショップ。地域の活性化にもつながるワクワクする試みです。ちなみに現在タミヤ公式ミニ四駆ショップ「ミニ四駆ステーション」として申請中だそうで、そのうちここでチケット戦が開催されるかも。やまざきさん曰く今後もレア商品や限定商品などを並べる予定とのこと。
Located in Fukuoka, Kyushu, and on a remote island, this is an amazing select shop that not only sells Tamiya products, but also sells popular brand products such as BLOCKHEAD MOTORS and so on. This is an exciting endeavor that will also lead to regional revitalization. By the way, they are currently applying to become Tamiya’s official Mini 4WD shop “Mini 4WD Station”, and a ticket competition may be held here someday. Mr. Yamazaki says that he plans to continue displaying rare and limited edition items in the future.

また遊びに来ようと思います。

As it was a reception party, Mr. Yamazaki himself was there and I was given a lot of information about the concept of the shop and the products it carry.

ご自身も子供の頃から夢中になったタミヤ製品で、子どもと親が一緒に楽しめるような新しい場所を作ろうと思ったとのことです。地域の活性化が期待されます。
He himself has been fascinated by Tamiya products since he was a child, and he wanted to create a new place where children and parents can enjoy together. It’s expected that the area will be revitalized.

福岡県宗像市の離島””大島(おおしま)”。
“Oshima” is a remote island in Munakata City, Fukuoka Prefecture in Kyushu.

大島には世界文化遺産を構成する「宗像大社中津宮」と「宗像大社沖津宮遥拝所」があります。
“Munakata Taisha Nakatsumiya” and “Okitsu Miya Yohaisho” in Oshima were registered as the World Heritage Sites.

その大島に模型セレクトショップがオープン！
A model select shop has opened on Oshima!

その名も「OMISEYA SUN」と書いておみせやさんと読む。
Its name is also written as “OMISEYA SUN” and is pronounced as OMISEYA SAN.

店長は今話題のクロススピアー01のデザインでお馴染みのハイパーデザイナーのやまざきたかゆきさん。
The shop manager is Takayuki Yamazaki, a hyper designer who is well-known for the design of the now-talked-about CROSS SPEAR 01.

「日本一行きにくいセレクトショップ」を掲げているだけあって、JRの最寄りの東郷駅からバスと船を乗り継いでやっとこさ辿り着ける場所にあります。
As it claims to be “Japan’s most difficult-to-reach select shop,” it is located in a location that can be reached by bus and boat from the nearest JR Togo Station.

本日5月25日と26日はレセプションパーティーを開催！
やまざきさんも来店とのことなので早速行ってみました。
A reception party will be held today, May 25th and 26th!
Mr. Yamazaki was also coming to the shop, so I went there right away.

ザッパーン！

腹が減っては一休さん。朝から何も食べていなかったので喫茶店に立ち寄り。
You can’t fight if you’re hungry. I hadn’t eaten anything since morning, so I stopped at a coffee shop.

焼きそばにはイカが入ってます。
This Yakisoba has squid in it.

お店に到着。
I arrived at the shop.丁度やまざきさんが建物の外に出てきたので挨拶。
Mr. Yamazaki just came out of the building, so I greeted him.

レセプションパーティー開始まで時間があったので島の反対側までウォーキング。
I had some time before the reception party started, so I walked to the other side of the island.

夢の小夜島。
“Yume no Sayoshima Island”海中に立つ朱色の鳥居と島を覆う松の緑、そして皇帝が美しいコントラストを見せている。
The vermilion torii gate standing in the sea, the green pine trees covering the island, and Emperor create a beautiful contrast.

宗像大社沖津宮遥拝所へ。
“Munakata Taisha Okitsumiya Yohaisho”

神職以外の渡島が制限されている「沖ノ島」の「宗像大社沖津宮」を遥かに参拝(遥拝)するために建てられた拝所です。天気の良い日には、直線上49km先に「沖ノ島」を望むことができるそう。今日は見えず。
This worship hall was built around the 18thj century so that people could offer prayers to the sacred Okinoshima Island which is not open to the public.
On clear days, Okinoshima is visible on the horizon, 49km away. Unfortunately I couldn’t see it today.

お店までの道のりは長い。
The journey to the shop is long.

OMISEYA SUNに戻ってきました。
I’m back at “OMISEYA SUN” shop.

レース翌日は京都観光。
Kyoto sightseeing on the day after the race.

京都タワーの展望台から街の全体像をつかみます。
Get a bird’s-eye view of the city from the observation deck of Kyoto Tower.

「ソングバードコーヒー」にて鳥の巣カレーと卵サンドイッチの半々セットを注文。美味い！
I had a half set of bird’s nest like curry & rice and egg sandwich at “SONGBIRD COFFEE”. Yummy!

かつて何をか売っていたであろう店。
A store that once sold something.

御所で休憩中に何羽ものスズメが遊びに来ました。
Many sparrows came to play while I was taking a break at the Imperial Palace.

京都御所と皇帝。
Kyoto Imperial Palace and Emperor.

京都名物「にしんそば」発祥の店で旅の締めくくり。実は前日も食していました。
I ended my trip at the restaurant that originated the famous Kyoto dish, herring soba. I actually ate it here the day before, too.

旅の最後に帰りの新幹線の乗車券を失くしてしまい再購入したのは内緒だ。
It’s a secret that I lost my return Shinkansen train ticket at the end of the trip and repurchase it.

【ミニ四駆ステーション】滋賀県「守山玩具」

京都でのストリートミニ四駆イベント参加の翌日は電車でお隣の滋賀県守山市へ移動。途中電車の中から琵琶湖を目にして感動。
The next day after take part in the Street Mini 4WD event in Kyoto, I moved to the neighboring city of Moriyama in Shiga Prefecture by train. I was moved to see Lake Biwa from the train on the way.

ミニ四駆ステーション「守山玩具」へやって来ました。
I came to the Mini 4WD Station store “Moriyama Gangu”.
*Gangu means “Toy”

店舗の入っている商業施設の建て替えに伴い5/5で閉店とのこと。
The store will be closed on May 5 due to the reconstruction of the shopping mall where the store is located.

閉店セールを実施中。
A closing sale was going on.

ミニ四駆のパーツもお安くなってます。
Mini 4WD parts are also cheaper on the sale.

買い物がてら店主のお姉様方にご挨拶。
Say hello to the shopkeeper’s women while shopping.

この日は最後のチケット戦で盛り上がっていました。
This day was exciting with the last ticket battle of the Mini4WD Station Challenge.

同市内のあっという間の宇野元総理の生家へ。
To the birthplace of former Prime Minister Uno in the same city.

閉店前の最後の盛り上がりを見られてよかったです。
It was nice to see the last excitement before closing.

京都のストリートミニ四駆イベントに参加/Street Mini 4WD event in Kyoto

Maker Faire Kyoto 2023が開催されている”けいはんなオープンイノベーションセンター”でのストリートミニ四駆イベントに参加。
I took part in in Street Mini 4WD event at the “Keihanna Open Innovation Center” where Maker Faire Kyoto 2023 is being held.

まずは最初のレースにエントリー。五人ずつでのレースです。
I entered the first race. It’s a race of five.

マシンはタイプ3シャーシのバーニングサン。モーターはノーマル、ギヤはスピード。電池は1本をダミーに置き換え。
My Mini 4WD is a Type 3 chassis Burning Sun. Motor is Stock one, gear is speed(6.4:1). Replaced one battery with a dummy.結果は120.8秒。遅すぎました。コースは登り坂のワインディングロード100m。マシン捌きに注意しないとすぐにバウンドします。
The result is 120.8 seconds. It was too late. The course is a 100m uphill winding road. If you do not pay attention to the handling of the Mini 4WD car, it will bounce immediately.

２回目のレース結果は1位。52.2秒。電池は1本から2本に変更しています。
The result of the second race was 1st place. 52.2 seconds. Changed from 1 to 2 batteries.

3回目のレース結果は46.7秒で1位。電池2本でボディーはゲキ重のバーニングサンからファイヤードラゴンのクリヤーボディーへ変更。重い道着を脱いだ悟空やピッコロの気分です。タイムも良くなりました。
The result of the 3d race was 46.7 seconds, placing first. With 2 batteries, the body changes from super heavy “Burning Sun” to “Fire Dragon’s clear body”. I feel like Goku and Piccolo who took off their heavy uniforms in Dragon Ball. Recording time has also been shortened.

4回目のレース。とっておきの新車”VZシャーシ仕様皇帝(エンペラー )”を投入。当日初の5:1ギヤで出走するも、タイプ3シャーシに比べ、最低地上高が低いためバンパー底部が登り坂コースにガリガリ当たってマシンが跳ねまくりです。バウンスしまくりでタイムも遅くなりました。
4th race. Introducing the special new car “VZ Chassis Specification Emperor”. Even though it started in 5:1 gear for the first time on the day, the ground clearance is lower than the Type 3 chassis, so the bottom of the bumper hit the uphill course and the Mini 4WD bounced. It kept bouncing and my record time got longer.

5回目のレース。タイプ3シャーシに変更。ギヤ比も6.4:1のスピードギヤから5:1のハイスピードギヤに変更します。
5th race. Changed to type 3 chassis. The gear ratio is also changed from 6.4:1 speed gear to 5:1 high speed gear.結果は44.4秒の4並び！この日の最短記録でした。参加者のRRヨシダさんより44並びの記念ということで賞品にパーツを頂きました。ありがとうございます！
The result is a sequence of “4” in 44.4 seconds! It was the first record of the day. Participant “RR Yoshida” gave me a part as a prize to commemorate the “44” row. Thank you!

6回目のレース。タイヤが外れてタイムロス。記録は出せず。もう少しタイムを伸ばせたはずが残念です。両面テープでのタイヤのホイールへの接着は必須ですね。
6th race. The tire came off and lost time. No shortest record. It’s a pity that I could have shortened the time a little more. Adhesion of the tire to the wheel with double-sided tape is essential.

最後に有志で50mのレースを実施。
Finally, a 50m race was held for those who wanted to.ケーブルテレビ局KCN京都の取材も入っていました。
There was also an interview with the cable TV station KCN Kyoto.

ふらっと通りかかった親子連れが多く興味を持っていました。子供たちが楽しんでいる姿を見られておじさんはとても嬉しい。みんなとても可愛かったです。次回開催があればまた参加したい。ありがとうございました。
Parents and children passing by were very interested in the street mini 4WD. I’m very happy to see the children having fun. They were so cute. If there is another event, I would like to take part in again. Thank you very much.
