前回の続き。

福岡県宗像市の離島、大島にある日本一行きにくいお店「OMISEYA SUN」へ。
Arrived at OMISEYA SUN, the most difficult-to-reach shop in Japan, located on Oshima, a remote island in Munakata City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

店舗は3階にあります。
The shop is on the 3rd floor.

As it was a reception party, Mr. Yamazaki himself was there and I was given a lot of information about the concept of the shop and the products it carry.

ご自身も子供の頃から夢中になったタミヤ製品で、子どもと親が一緒に楽しめるような新しい場所を作ろうと思ったとのことです。地域の活性化が期待されます。
He himself has been fascinated by Tamiya products since he was a child, and he wanted to create a new place where children and parents can enjoy together. It’s expected that the area will be revitalized.

“Oshima” is a remote island in Munakata City, Fukuoka Prefecture in Kyushu.

大島には世界文化遺産を構成する「宗像大社中津宮」と「宗像大社沖津宮遥拝所」があります。
“Munakata Taisha Nakatsumiya” and “Okitsu Miya Yohaisho” in Oshima were registered as the World Heritage Sites.

その大島に模型セレクトショップがオープン！
A model select shop has opened on Oshima!

その名も「OMISEYA SUN」と書いておみせやさんと読む。
Its name is also written as “OMISEYA SUN” and is pronounced as OMISEYA SAN.

店長は今話題のクロススピアー01のデザインでお馴染みのハイパーデザイナーのやまざきたかゆきさん。
The shop manager is Takayuki Yamazaki, a hyper designer who is well-known for the design of the now-talked-about CROSS SPEAR 01.

「日本一行きにくいセレクトショップ」を掲げているだけあって、JRの最寄りの東郷駅からバスと船を乗り継いでやっとこさ辿り着ける場所にあります。
As it claims to be “Japan’s most difficult-to-reach select shop,” it is located in a location that can be reached by bus and boat from the nearest JR Togo Station.

本日5月25日と26日はレセプションパーティーを開催！
やまざきさんも来店とのことなので早速行ってみました。
A reception party will be held today, May 25th and 26th!
Mr. Yamazaki was also coming to the shop, so I went there right away.

ザッパーン！
Swaaaash!

腹が減っては一休さん。朝から何も食べていなかったので喫茶店に立ち寄り。
You can’t fight if you’re hungry. I hadn’t eaten anything since morning, so I stopped at a coffee shop.

焼きそばにはイカが入ってます。
This Yakisoba has squid in it.

お店に到着。
I arrived at the shop.丁度やまざきさんが建物の外に出てきたので挨拶。
Mr. Yamazaki just came out of the building, so I greeted him.

レセプションパーティー開始まで時間があったので島の反対側までウォーキング。
I had some time before the reception party started, so I walked to the other side of the island.

夢の小夜島。
“Yume no Sayoshima Island”海中に立つ朱色の鳥居と島を覆う松の緑、そして皇帝が美しいコントラストを見せている。
The vermilion torii gate standing in the sea, the green pine trees covering the island, and Emperor create a beautiful contrast.

宗像大社 沖津宮遥拝所へ。
“Munakata Taisha Okitsumiya Yohaisho”

神職以外の渡島が制限されている「沖ノ島」の「宗像大社沖津宮」を遥かに参拝(遥拝)するために建てられた拝所です。天気の良い日には、直線上49km先に「沖ノ島」を望むことができるそう。今日は見えず。
This worship hall was built around the 18thj century so that people could offer prayers to the sacred Okinoshima Island which is not open to the public.
On clear days, Okinoshima is visible on the horizon, 49km away. Unfortunately I couldn’t see it today.

お店までの道のりは長い。
The journey to the shop is long.

OMISEYA SUNに戻ってきました。
I’m back at “OMISEYA SUN” shop.
