イギリスはグロスターシャー州の州都グロスターの中心部。
海から最も遠い港です。

ミニ四駆UKオータムグランプリの翌日の日曜日。

グランプリ主催のオーストとルースがグロスター市内の観光案内をしてくれました。ありがたや～。

車内では僕の大好きなデヴィッド・ボウイの”HEROES”が流れる中グロスター中心部のモールへ移動し駐車。

グロスターの場所はこちら。

その起源はローマ時代に遡り、2,000年以上の歴史があります。

2015年にはラグビーワールドカップも開催された街。

船上で犬とともに何かを見つめるおじさん。

まず案内されたのは二人のオススメのレストラン。

イングリッシュブレックファストをペロリ！美味い！！

オーストのキャノンボールとともにパチリ。少年時代に彼が初めて手に入れたマシンはキャノンボールだったそう。最初の一台って思い入れがありますよね。

ケチャップディスペンサーです。カワイイ♪

「ラスティ―・ニードル」という愛称のオブジェ。その名の通り錆色の針。

そしてこちらの愛称は「CDラック」

真下から見上げたところ。酔っ払いが登らないように表面には無数に返しの棘あり。

そしていよいよ魔法学校のロケ地！グロスター大聖堂へ。

私も愛する人とこの地を再び訪れたい。愛する人おらんけど。内部の展示

「ホグワーツへようこそ」とオーストに通された先にはあの魔法学校の廊下が！回廊部分と扇形天井はハリーポッターの魔法学校のまんまです！人通りが途絶えた一瞬に写真撮影。もちろんマシンも並べてパチリ！

14世紀の回廊は自分が本当に魔法使いになったような錯覚を与えます。

「チンカラホイ！」

ショッピングモールなど街を散策。

軽く挨拶を交わした少年。犬を連れて足元の遺跡を見つめています。

３人でパブにてミニ四駆や色んなことをあれやこれや語り合う時間。

彼の着ているジャパンカップTシャツにご注目！

今後日本への旅行も予定しているとのこと。

日本で会えるのがとても楽しみ。

夕食はファイブガイズというハンバーガー屋に連れて行ってもらいテイクアウト。アメリカのチェーン店。量があって美味かったです。

休みの日にわざわざ僕のために観光案内をしてくれた二人に感謝。

おかげさまでグロスターの街を満喫出来ました。

 2019 Autumn Holidays③Sightseeing in Gloucester

October 2019.

The heart of Gloucester, the capital of Gloucestershire, England.
It is the port farthest from the sea.

It was Sunday the day after Mini 4WD UK Autumn Grand Prix.

Aust and Ruth, who hosted the Grand Prix, took me to Gloucester sightseeing.  Thank you.

My favorite David Bowie’s “HEROES” was played in his car when we moved to the mall in the center of Gloucester.

Its roots back to Roman times and has a history over 2,000 years.

Here was a host city for the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

The snapshot with Aust’s Cannonball.The first Mini 4WD he obtained as a boy was a Cannonball. Everyone has an attachment to the first one.

This is called “Rusty Needle” as its nickname .A rust-colored needle as the name suggests.

and this one’s nickname is “CD rack”.

Then at last we went to the location of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! To Gloucester Cathedral.

“Welcome to Hogwarts,” he told me that there was a school hallway!
The corridor and fan-shaped ceiling are the same as Harry Potter’s Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!

We took a photo the moment the traffic was cut off.Of course, we also took Mini 4WDs!

The 14th-century corridor gives the illusion that I have truly become a wizard.

They are planning to travel to Japan in the future.

I’m really looking forward to meeting in Japan.

We went to “FIVE GUYS” burger shop and I took takeaway.This is an American chain store. There was quantity and was yummy.

Thank you for the kind people who spent their time on me on the day off.

Thanks to them, I was able to fully enjoy the city of Gloucester.
