わずか半年ほど前のこととは思えない程に平和だったローマ。
去年の秋休みの続きです。

ローマに着いた翌朝。

向かったのはバチカンです。

学生の頃来た以来。

この日はサン・ピエトロ広場に入るのにボディーチェックあり。

人、人、人！
この日は教皇(ローマ法王)が演説をする日とあって非常に多くの人で賑わっていました。

すごい行列なのでこの日はクーポラ行きはあきらめました。

広場にて海外の紙幣を集めていると言って各国からの観光客に紙幣をせがむインド料理屋店員の姿を発見。

彼のやり取りを眺めているとこちらにも話しかけて来ました。

お金はあげませんでしたがしばし談笑。

オベリスク

バチカンから移動しDarioオススメのハンバーガー屋へ。開店準備中でしたがテラス席だったらいいよとのことで着席。

美味し！

店員にタミヤTシャツを突っ込まれました。

夜はDarioの案内で彼オススメの郊外のケバブ屋へ。今まで食べたケバブの中で一番美味かった。
トルコ人で賑わっていました。

アーケードで懐かしの「セガラリー」を発見！開催を週末に控えたミニ四駆スポーツトーナメントに想いを馳せながらDarioと共にストリートを歩いた夜。素敵な思い出です。

イタリアを含め早くこの新型肺炎による騒乱が収まってほしい。

2019 Autumn Holidays⑥Vatican City

This is a continuation of last autumn’s holiday, and it is a state of Rome that was so peaceful that it could not be thought of just six months ago.

The next morning I arrived in Rome, I headed for the Vatican.

That’s since I was a student.

There was a body check to enter St. Peter’s Square on this day.

Amazing number of people!!
This day was a day when the Pope gave a speech, and was very crowded.

Because it was a great line, I gave up going to Cupola on this day.

I found an Indian restaurant clerk pleading with tourists from various countries for bills, saying he was collecting bills from overseas in the square.

He talked to me as I watched his conversation.

I did not give him money, but chatted for a while.

I went to Dario’s recommended hamburger restaurant from Vatican.The restaurant was in preparing for open, but the staff said “It’s OK for the terrace sheet.”

Yummy!

The staff mentioned the Tamiya T-shirt I was wearing.

In the evening, Dario guided me to a recommended suburban kebab shop.This was the most delicious kebab I’ve ever eaten.
It was full of Turkish people.

I found a nostalgic “Sega Rally” in the arcade!The night of walking on the street with Dario while reminiscing about Mini 4WD Sport tournament ahead of the weekend. It is a wonderful memory.

I hope that this uprising caused by Corona virus, including Italy, will end soon.
